His birthday is coming up soon..November 7th to be exact..he will be 6 years old and even though he will be celebrating it with Jesus and all the other little Angels.....Angie and I th...ought in honor of his life and to pay tribute to the hospital that allowed us to have more time with our precious boy and our other 3 beautiful children. We are gonna make the month of November Bradley's miracle fund month. We are going to except donations all through the month and in December we will send a check to St. Judes to help in the fight against child hood cancer in the name of Bradley. If half of his followers sent 1 dollar we could raise over $25000. Dollars....wow!!! That would be awesome...I'm interested in knowing what y'all think. Would you support this idea? Please let us know. Thank you and god Bless!

Happy 4th of July!!

Hello everyone,

Hope everyone is having a fantastic and safe holiday!!

Sorry its been awhile since the last update. Some good things have been going on with Allen family. Angie and the kids left to head to Indiana to visit some family but also for her Aunts funeral. She passed around the same time as Bradley. All in all everyone is doing pretty good.

Something that was truly amazing happened a few weeks ago. This is taken directly from Bradleys Story on Facebook:
"As most of you know Bradley loved to play with his bouncy balls... before we had his memorial garden made in the backyard, all the balls would gather on the other side of the yard. Bradley loved to line up his toys and his bouncy balls... it was just his way.. I woke up this morning (Saturday June 29) to find all of his bouncy balls in his garden and some of them lined up just the way he used to do... and some of them hidden behind his bushes. You might think it was the wind which would make sense except the wind was blowing the other direction making that impossible. So obviously Bradley was playing last night. This brought a smile to me and his PeePaw and of course I thought it would do the same for all of his faithful followers."

Guess that's all for now. I will try to update again later this weekend.

Happy Father's Day!

Hello everyone, I know I haven't done the best job updating the site... I'm terribly sorry:(

I hope everyone has had a fantastic Father's Day so far. Chris says he had a fantastic day working with people he loves and loves him. Of course he was thinking about Bradley and how much he misses him but also thought about all the great things they got to do before his time to go.

There was a garage sale yesterday to help raise the rest of the money to pay for the funeral. This helped tremendously with the funds. A huge thank you to all the help put it on and came to support the Allen family.

Chris has gotten a tattoo on his left shoulder of a portrait of Bradley driving a Mario Kart and wearing a Mario Hat just like he always wanted to do. Its not finished yet but when it is, I will definitely post some picture. What a great idea to keep Bradley's memory alive.

Brittney had her birthday party yesterday and she couldn't have been more happy. She was on cloud 9 with the gifts! Again, a giant thank you to everyone that could make it. The Allen family has some of the most true friends anyone could ask for.

As far as the other kids, they are all doing pretty well. Of course they have some questions and definitely keep Chris and Angie on their toes, but they get by each day with one another by their side.

That's all for now. Sorry all for the late post.

Happy Memorial Day!

Hello everyone!

I hope everyone has had a fantastic long weekend. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperative for the most part but Angie did see a double rainbow yesterday and it reminded her that its God's promise that everything will be ok. The family went to Bradley's grave and reminisced of the good times they shared!

Angie shared a post on Facebook that I would like to share with you.
"It's been 4 months since you earned your angel wings and not a day goes by that I don't think about you and missing you sooo much! with this was all easier and am so blessed that the day before you passed away you told us you loved us! I cannot wait to see you again! I know you are having the time of your life with Christian and Ehreen... playing like you were meant to! Going to the memorial service and going to your grace. What I wouldn't give to hold you one last time. I miss you and will always fight to keep you journey alive and to help other kids with cancer."

I think we all share Angie's emotion when it comes to talking or even thinking about Bradley. He will forever have a special place in my heart as he will with all of you.

That's it for now. Thank you all who have kept up with his story.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day Everyone!

Hope everyone had a fantastic day! This is the first mothers day without our hero Bradley. It was a sad yet special day in the Allen household. Angie received a surprise party from the kids and all of them gave her Precious Moments figurines. Brought tears to her eyes. It was only missing Bradley.

Just wanted to update everyone on the status of Brianna Henness. She is home and doing good. It got very touch and go there for a while but all is well for now.

A reminder about the Cure Search walk this Saturday at Principal Park. Walk starts at 830am if anyone wants to join us. We will be wearing out Bradley's Buddies t-shirts. Also, there will be a pot luck at Sunrise Park in Ankeny immediately following the walk. Everyone is welcome. If you can't make the walk but would like to donate you can go to www.curesearchwalk.org, click Des Moines, and search for Bradley's Buddies Team. Anything is helpful.

That's all for now.

May 5, 2013

A lot of things have happened since the last post. Some good, some not so good. The family is all doing pretty well for the most part. Spending as much time as possible with each other and making new memories with one another. Chris is back to work and loving every minute of it. Angie as well. Elijiah and Ashley are in school and keeping mom and dad very busy. Brittney is having some seperation issues at this point. Whenever someone leaves she just cries and cries. She doesnt think they will come back. All of the kids are in counseling to help them with this tramatic experience. Things do seem to be getting a little easier.

Ashley had a birthday yesterday and got everything she wished for. It was a great day.

A family friend of the Allens is back in the hospital for numerous brain tumors. Brianna Henness is a vibrant 17 yr old young women who has been fighting these tumors since she was about 5. At this point, they are benign but she is in an extreme amount of pain. We are asking to keep the Henness family in your thoughts and prayers.

There are a few different events coming up in the very near future. This coming Tuesday May 7, Famous Dave's is hosting a benefit for Cure Seach. They will be donating 10% off all sales from 11am - 10pm to the foundation to raise money to find a cure. Please join us in this wonderful benefit.  Hope to see everyone there!!

Also the Cure Search Walk is upon us. May 18 if anyones wants to join us in that as well. We will be wearing Bradley's Buddies T-shirts. More details to come on that next week.

Guess this is it for now. I will be updating the page every week from now so make sure to check it weekly.

A angel gets his wings...

Bradley left our world tonight.  We know he is now in Heaven...laughing, running, playing and no longer in any pain.  Bradley was an amazing, strong and courageous little boy who touched so many lives.

Thank you all who have followed his story, prayed for him and his family and shown your support in so many ways.

Here is a link to a video tribute to Bradley.

Bradley's Miracle Fund

As I've seen the question asked a few times, and there are many, many new to Bradley's Story, I wanted to post this information again.

There is a fund set up for this in Bradley's name called Bradley's Miracle Fund. Any donation made goes directly to the family and Bradley's Miracle fund, whether made through paypal or sent through the mail to the bank.

I know how much Bradley's family appreciates all the love and support they have received over the last two years and your prayers are a treasured gift.

Thank you for caring so much about Bradley and the Allen family. They are truly wonderful people and I am blessed to call them my friends. The address and link for donations is on the right hand side of this page.
